By accessing or using ComplianceRadar ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ComplianceRadar is a regulatory compliance monitoring platform that tracks material and chemical regulatory changes globally. The Service allows users to upload substance portfolios and receive alerts when relevant regulations are published or updated.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide a valid email address and accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

  • The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. Features and usage limits vary by plan.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe.
  • You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or connected systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers and networks connected to it.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond the provided API.
  • Share your account credentials or API keys with unauthorized third parties.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service or its data without written permission.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is owned by ComplianceRadar and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • Regulatory content aggregated by the Service originates from public government sources and is provided for informational purposes.
  • You retain ownership of the data you upload (substance portfolios, notes). By uploading data, you grant us a license to process it solely for providing the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • Regulatory information will be complete, accurate, or current.
  • AI-generated summaries will be free from errors or omissions.

ComplianceRadar is not a substitute for professional legal or regulatory advice. Always verify regulatory information with official sources and consult qualified professionals before making compliance decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ComplianceRadar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service.
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
  • Any third-party conduct on the Service.
  • Reliance on regulatory information or AI summaries provided by the Service.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice.
  • Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable national laws of the jurisdiction where the data controller is established, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
